Yes, Mariss Jansons did a great jobb with the Oslo Phil.and some very fine recordings. With a better hall and acustic this recording is among the very best. Regards B H

Jansons was so energetic when he was young often not needing a score. As he got older he totally was glued to the written score and his enthusiasm diminished

I think the best Maris Jansons made was made with Oslo Philharmonic orchestra. Since he abandoned Oslo the orchestra has lost energy too.
